Ultimate Fact Sheet (From the UPA website)

A common misconception, Ultimate is not your everyday backyard game of Frisbee. It involves a level of athletic commitment similar to that of your varsity sports, but with a culture of good sportsmanship and an emphasis on having fun.

Catholic Ultimate is looking for athletic individuals; men and women, who can contribute to our success as a team. Each year we participate in approximately 3-4 tournaments a semester and we have been improving constantly.

The most important collegiate tournament for us is the Colonial Open Sectionals in April. Everything we do over the course of the year builds to this. At Sectionals we face off against other college teams such as: Delaware, Maryland, George Washington, and Georgetown University for a chance at one of 4 bids to the Regional tournament, and a shot at College Nationals.

As a new face to the game of Ultimate, we will expose you to the throws, offensive and defensive strategy, and the good sportsmanship that this game thrives upon. Since Ultimate is still a relatively new sport, we don’t expect you to know everything, and we are patient teachers who are happy to answer any questions you may have. Know that every single player on the field here has gone through the same process of discovery that you will face as you are exposed to the various facets of the game. Remember, there are no skills required to come out and play. We will teach you everythin you need to know!
