The Executive Board
Megan is a junior musical theatre major at CUA. She has been involved with Centerstage since her freshman year starting with Grand Central Stories: A City of Strangers and as a freshman delegate on the board. Last year she served as Treasurer and was Fluff in HONK! This spring Megan travelled to the Czech Republic with CUA's University Chorus to sing Verdi's Requiem in the Prague Spring Festival. Outside of CUA Megan was the female swing for Signature's My Fair Lady (dir. Eric Schaeffer) starring Broadway's Sally Murphy. Other Signature credits: The Sex Habits of American Women (Katie), Nevermore (Virginia u/s), Assassins (Squeaky/Ensemble u/s).
Jesse Palmer, President

Jesse, a junior Musical Theater major, has been a member of Centerstage since her freshman year. As a member of the executive board, she has acted as a delegate at large, Deputy Secretary and now President, but her involvement does just stop there. Artistically she has choreographed many Centerstage productions including Lucky Stiff and HONK! Her work could also be seen in The Pirates of Penzence at the School of Music. Outside of CUA, she has worked at Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theater as an intern, choreographer (Damn Yankees, dir. Roger Riggle) as well as performer (Winnie Tate in Annie Get Your Gun, Featured Dancer in Music Man and Thoroughly Modern Millie); she is currently in Kiss Me Kate at Toby's Dinner Theater in Columbia, MD.
Kaitlin Hitchings, Treasurer

As sophomore musical theatre major, Kaitlin Hitchings is returning to the Centerstage board as the treasurer, after serving as freshman delegate last year. Adoring fans may recall her stellar performance behind the scenes in the School of Music's production of Oklahoma! last spring. Favorite roles include Gertrude in Seussical the Musical, Snoopy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and The Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol. She has also appeared in a national television commerical for Nickeloden and various publications for Ames Department Stores. Kaitlin hails from the gigantic, hustling metropolis of Saunderstown, Rhode Island where she regretfully leaves the love of her life, her yellow laborador puppy, Stella.

Beth English, Secretary

As a junior drama major, this is Beth's third year working with Centerstage. Outside of CUA, Beth has performed in numerous shows with The Newtown Town Players, Musicals at Richter, and Summer Theatre Connections. She is currently an Associate Board Member with The Newtown Town Players. For the past four summers, Beth has worked with Summer Theatre Connections, a camp based out of Newtown, CT. The state-funded program works with children from all backgrounds to put together a musical production. Beth also helped to create the Newtown Foundation for the Arts, appearing in such shows as Blood Brothers and Godspell with the company. She can be seen in the drama school's upcoming production of The Women this November. |
